News and Events As part of our ongoing Outreach effort here at Riverside, we will continue to collect items to help support the local children's shelter for abused and abandoned children, the girls shelter, and the pregnant teen shelter. This week we will collect: Washing Powder (big container), Pine-Sol, Liquid Hand Soap, Mr. Clean, & Clorox Cleaner.
Our Food pantry is in need of some items. While you're doing your shopping please grab a few of these items and donate them to the pantry! Spaghetti noodles and sauce, rice, canned soups, peanut butter, jelly, breakfast cereal, corn bread muffin mix, canned meats, and fruit juice.
There will be a World Bible School meeting on Sunday, February 26th at 10 a.m. in the Children's Church Room.
The youth will go to visit Garland LeBlanc on Sunday, Feb. 26th at YCP. They will leave the church building at 5:30 a.m. and return around 6 p.m.
The Mission Team is sponsoring a "Missionary Bicycle Fund Raiser". They are asking Life Groups, families, children, any ministry group - WINGS, KICKS, youth group - to collect $1 a week for the next 20 weeks. This $20 will purchase a bike that will enable a Riverside missionary to visit 3-4 times as many villages in a day compared to without a bike. KICKS will be helping boost the missionary fundraiser. We are asking all children 2 years old thru the 6th grade to bring in any change they have earned to their Sunday morning or Wednesday night class. The classes will be competing against each other and the class with the most money at the end of February will get a special surprise. The following 5th Sundays in 2012 will be Mission Sundays where the offering for that Sunday will be deposited in the Mission bank account and used for the Missions ministry. Please mark your calendar.
